The Jagdtiger was a German heavy tank destroyer with a 12.8cm gun; it was built by extending the chassis of the Tiger II heavy tank and removing the turret. The Jagdtiger had two types of traveling equipment, and the Porche type uses an external vertical torsion bar suspension used in the Elefant tank destroyer and others. It was used in early production versions of the Jagdtiger, but only a very few were built with this modification.
