Gantry crane (Germany: STRABOKRAN) is a gate type mobile crane which German army field maintenance unit used for maintenance and repair of tanks during World War II. It was used not only for maintenance and repair of medium to heavy tanks such as Tiger tanks, panther tanks, elephants, etc, but also for launching V2 rocket. It was transported by half trucks such as Sd.kfz.8 and Sd.Kfz.9, and we were able to assemble it in about an hour with 10 crews. About 100 machines were manufactured during the Great War and operated with German Armored Division and Heavy Tank Battalion etc.
The kit reproduces precise details of the crane. There are 4 types of marking included, you can select and assemble the state at the time of work or transportation.
