Trumpeter 03206 1/32 EA-18G Growler
EA-18G Growler is the F/A-18F electronic warfare model. The Growler has the same flight performance as the F/A-18E / F. This feature is similar to the “growler” than the traditional electronic warfare aircraft to better perform electronic suppression tasks. Growler can accompany the F / A-18 fighters throughout the mission.
With over 90% versatility and the same fuselage, the EA-18G Growler and the standard F / A-18F Super Hornet fuselage are equipped with the same fuselage, and Racy’s AN / APG-79 Active Phase Control Array radar and weapon systems, and AN / AYK-22 weapon management systems. Most of the electronic warfare equipment such as electronic jamming was installed in the space where the nose was originally used to mount the 20mm cannon and the wingtip nacelle. Nine weapons plug-in points are free to choose to mount attack weapons or electronic jamming pods. Electronic warfare devices with increased wingtips include the AN / ALQ-218 wideband receiver and the ALQ-99 high and low frequency interference pods. The ALQ-218 and ALQ-99 cover the complete spectrum. Enable EW officers to detect and fight against all known threats to ground-air.
The EA-18G’s typical mission mode is capable of mounting up to five ALQ-99 electronic pods and two AIM-120 air-to-air missiles for self-defense and two AGM-88 Hamm high-speed anti-radiation missiles.
